What Dutch courses does NLTAAL offer?

NLTAAL offers Dutch language courses ranging from beginner level (A0) to advanced level (C1). Our courses are available to both migrants with vocational training and those with higher education, as well as expats, au pairs, and international students. You can choose between self-study, online group study, or in-person classes in your area.

English is the language of instruction in all our courses. The ability to speak and understand English is required.

  • A basic knowledge of English is required for all of our language courses, from level A0 through B2.
  • For all of our language courses that lead to a higher language level, students are required to have first completed the entry-level course.

For private lessons, the IT requirements are described in the FAQ section: “What do I need to take a private lesson?”

In a self-study program, you’ll develop your Dutch language skills through an e-learning course that’s available to you for 12 months. You can also supplement your self-study with a workbook and, if desired, private lessons. Group classes are held both online and in person in the region. We always start our group classes with a minimum of 6 students, and we limit our group sizes to no more than 12 students.

With a regular course, you take one online or in-person class per week. With an intensive course, you take two online or group classes per week.

If you miss a group class, you can catch up on the material through E-Learning. If necessary, you can purchase a private lesson to make up for the missed material.

If you find that you need support while studying on your own, you can purchase private lessons. These are available starting at 1 hour.

Our self-study course includes an e-learning portal as standard, which is available to you for one year. Our e-learning platform contains the complete course material, consisting of theory and assignments. We’ll send you a notepad and a pen to take notes.

You can purchase private lessons through our website. Once payment has been made, we will work with you and the language coach to schedule the private lessons.

If, for any reason, you miss a private lesson, it will be forfeited and cannot be made up.

Our private lessons are taught online. You must have a fully functional PC, laptop, or tablet equipped with a camera and microphone.
